Is there a good label for this general design style? I love posters created using this retro style.
http://www.hexapolis.com/2016/02/15/nasa-posters-depict-future-where-space-travel-is-commonplace/ has some amazing pieces.

Say what you want about Episode I, I still think pod racers are some of the coolest sci-fi vehicles ever. I’ve often thought about how one would go about building the car equivalent of a pod racer... Maybe a giant engine or two driving the front wheels of a three, five, or seven-wheeled vehicle with the drivetrain and whatnot in the front and an exposed tube frame chassis connecting that to a cockpit in the back with the single rear wheel.... Yeah... I’m insane :p

I don’t know what the style is called, but I like it too!

I just looked it up but I’m roughly the same age as Jake Lloyd. W atching that pod racing scene in the theater was really profound at my age. I had no understanding of the original trilogy and a ll I really understood in Ep.1 was Pod Racing = Cool , Jar Jar Binks = Idiot.

Perfect. I'm still rocking Jason's infographic of two door body styles.

My sister actually liked Jar Jar... none of us could ever figure out why... Honestly, he was the one big blemish in an otherwise pretty good movie. I think it had enough good parts to make up for the gungan.

I’ll have to ask my wife. She’s the artistic one.

I have a ton of these old WPA parks posters.

That’s awesome. How did you end up with those?

All reps, not originals. Started with buying an oversized calendar that I cut up after the year and framed some, have bought others, and also buy the postcard-sized ones from the national parks I visit.

Calendars are indeed great sources for cheap artwork.
I need to finish digging through my dad’s collection of WWII Life magazines. I feel badly about cutting them up, but there are some really interesting ads I’d love to have framed.

Maybe you could take high quality photos and make prints instead.
